The Office Productivity team sits within the Productivity, Identity and Service Management group, which is comprised of three teams and ten staff, ranging from long time veterans to apprentices and recent internal promotions.
Office Productivity is a well-established team comprised of our Service Owner / Product Manager, Product Owner, Senior Technical Analyst and Technical Analyst. We are responsible for the efficient and reliable running of several SaaS platforms, including Microsoft 365 and Atlassian Cloud, and help drive forward adoption of new technologies.
You will ideally have experience across Atlassian and Microsoft 365 products, but if you are an expert in only one of these areas, you will have a willingness to learn the other, and we will support your training and upskilling.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the overall health and usability of the systems / tools to ensure they meet business needs while being in line with security / data policies.
- Provide support and solutions for problems raised by internal and external customers.
- Lead project work, development and platform changes.
- Retain a proactive awareness and knowledge across Atlassian and M365 products.
- Drive continuous improvement of the service, including suggesting products in the suite that could be added to our pipeline.
- Maintain up to date skills and knowledge and share within the team. Mentor the other Analysts as needed
- Multi-task and prioritise work effectively and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Build strong relationships with all other IT service delivery teams and professional peers in other organisations.
- Communicate the benefits and performance of the service to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Service Roadmap, working with the Product Owner and Product Manager.
- Create / update documentation including operating procedures, policies, and processes.
- Agree deliverables with the Product Owner / Manager and keep work up to date in Jira as part of the Agile way of working.
To do this role well you will need:
- Extensive technical, operational, and administrative knowledge of Atlassian products, technologies, and plug-ins (such as: Jira, Confluence, Tempo)
- Extensive technical, operational, and administrative knowledge of M365 environments, collaboration, and identity technologies (including: PowerBI, CoPilot, SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Platform)
- Demonstrable experience in supporting M365 infrastructure and Jira / Confluence up to 3rd line.
- Previous experience of supporting a large user base of clients, which may have differing needs or goals.
- Experience of drawing on knowledge to make recommendations and implement improvements.
- Ability to multi-task and to prioritise effectively, with an aptitude for knowing when issues need escalating.
- Stakeholder management experience, at all levels within an organisation.
- Educated to at least GCE A level, SCE Higher grade (or equivalent qualifications) or proven comparable work experience.

To be considered, you will need to successfully obtain BPSS before commencing the role, obtaining clearance usually takes 5-10 working days.

Working pattern
This role is available on a Full Time basis, working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. Core hours are between 8:30 - 17:30.
