The successful candidate will have experience of working with children and young people, with special educational needs, preferably in a Secondary setting, with relevant experience in other school settings/age phases.

The post involves offering support to visually impaired children and young people in the classroom, across the full range of the curriculum. Applicants must have an NVQ Level 3 qualification for teaching assistants or equivalent. Although the position will initially be based within the integrated resource provision at Tapton School, the post may involve travelling and working in, different settings across the city and may include working with some Post 16 students in College, at Foundation level.
