What you'll be doing
As Senior Tax Manager, you'll work with the Tax Director who will provide support for your development towards tax partner. You'll benefit from hands-on mentorship and the opportunity to step up - progressing from Senior Tax Manager to Tax Director.
You'll be joining a highly regarded tax team with a strong track record of developing high achievers.
This is a role that combines personal and corporate tax knowledge to provide a holistic tax service for a diverse client base. You'll lead on complex projects, manage and develop your team, and help shape the strategic direction of the tax function.
- Reviewing and completing complex personal tax returns
- Managing P11Ds and advising clients on a range of tax matters
- Leading and mentoring junior staff, reviewing their work and supporting their development
- Owning client relationships, attending meetings and offering strategic advice
- Working on succession planning, corporate restructuring, and advisory projects
- Dealing with HMRC tax enquiries
- Contributing to monthly management meetings and driving continuous improvement
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- CTA qualified (or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience
- Proven experience managing a private client portfolio in practice
- Strong personal tax knowledge and a solid understanding of CT and IHT
- Strategic advisory experience (IHT, CGT, succession planning, etc.)
- Experience advising OMBs and high-net-worth individuals
- Leadership experience with a track record of developing and supporting a team
- A client-focused approach and excellent communication skills
