Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Systems Implementation Specialist. Initially for 12 months as a secondment or a fixed term contract.

This is a pivotal role that will see you lead implementation of clinical IT systems across the Trust in accordance with our digital strategy, ensuring integration and adoption across multiple areas.

Key projects you will work on include 'Narrative' (a clinical noting replacement) and Vitals e-Obs rollout to new areas, as well as extra functionality like indwelling devices. We are also replacing our Theatres system. You will play a key role in routine system upgrades, testing/training and helping to develop BCPs, SOPs and clinical safety cases.

A requirement of the role is the ability to speak with clinicians to understand their processes, and the ability to translate into digital workflows. You should be comfortable with adapting your schedule at short notice and occasionally outside of normal 'office' hours. This is a predominately an on-site role, with some opportunity for remote working.

This role entails project management and supplier interaction so you should be organised and confident at pushing back to suppliers when necessary. You should also be confident at questioning the status-quo in relation to areas we need to digitise and will often need to persuade and influence to effect change.

Please note vacancy may close earlier if sufficient applications received.
