The Systesm Engineer is responsible for working with stakeholders to support our customer on the left hand side of the V lifecycle, with systems design and systems architecture.
This Systems Engineering (IVVQ) vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation. The job holder will be engaged in a wide variety of Systems Engineering activities covering the entire engineering lifecycle, including; systems definition, input to estimates and bid activities, requirements apportionment, systems architecting, integration, verification & validation, which will involve proactive interaction and communication with other Engineering and non-Engineering functions. Candidates with a good understanding of all aspects of Systems Engineering relating to lifecycle processes and methodologies should apply.
Responsibilities
The systems engineer / architect will work with our customer to support the design, development, verification and validation of complex systems.
Authoring design documentation
Working with stakeholders and customers to define user requirements and ensure design parameters can be set and delivered.
Ensuring that customer deign strategy can be met - by supporting technology roadmaps and managing stakholders to achieve best trade-offs between cost risk and performance.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering discipline

- Requirements and Use Case analysis
- ICD and Component Specification
- Specifying systems
- Concept assessment and design trade studies
- System architecture design and functional modelling
- Performance assessment and systems behaviour analysis

- Defence Sector Highly desirable
- Bid Management desirable
- Vehicle Experience would be beneficial from automotive sector
- Polarian Requirements management
- Model based engineering techniques, including MBSE
- AN understanding od deign protocols
- Experience of working with Sensors

- Simulation - Digital Twins Math Modelling
- Image Processing and Machine Learning
Experience
- A minimum of 8 years experience working within systems engineering with IVVQ role on left side of V lifecycle.
- Modifications and configuration management
- Project and Programmes Experience desirable
