Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer (Design Assurance)

What you’ll be doing:
- Ensuring technical activities are performed in accordance with engineering procedures and that appropriate levels of internal and independent governance are applied
- Developing, and governing engineering standards and processes to demonstrate SQEP and compliance
- Providing leadership, guidance and coaching to other engineers
- Supporting AVC external reviews
- Deputise for the Principal Engineer when necessary and as part of personal development
Your skills and experiences:
- Degree level qualification in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science)
- Engineering lifecycle experience/exposure
- Experience of working on complex programmes
- Understanding of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations

AVC Governance & Assurance enables the effective and efficient delivery of the engineering products of the AVC CAM areas throughout the engineering lifecycle, by driving consistency of approach through mutual assurance, the deployment of plans & processes, whilst facilitating continuous improvement. An ideal opportunity to gain accreditation towards Chartered Engineering status. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
