Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting with specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise in the development of engineering processes. Identify the need for, develop, communicate, and maintain processes supporting the entire engineering lifecycle.
- Supporting with the governance of engineering activities. Understand and articulate the role of governance within and beyond Engineering
- Undertake governance activities from planning through delivery and issue/recommendation implementation
- Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the correct tools and documentation and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority
Your skills and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM subject
- Attained or progressing toward Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in process management and governance practices within complex programmes
- Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle, with hands-on experience in the relevant phase of the role and awareness of the full lifecycle
- Technical expertise in how their work fits within the broader product, platform, or program context
- In-depth knowledge of related projects, products, programmes, domains, disciplines, and functional teams within submarines or equivalent external organizations

The team:
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will leverage your subject matter expertise and domain experience to support submarine programs by developing and maintaining process documentation and related materials, as well as contributing to governance activities, strategies, and designs. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
