Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office 1 day per week for this position.

We're looking for a Senior System Engineer to join our Data Platform Engineering team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our data practice and work with a team of talented data engineers.

• You'll lead the development, delivery, and optimisation of data assets across our data lifecycle and solutions, engaging with application teams and consumers.
• You'll be key in delivering value across all data platforms while working within a modern engineering workplace.

What you'll be doing

• Working alongside colleagues within our Smarter Decisioning Platform team.
• Be hands on with the development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Application as Code (AaC) on our core scheduling platform CA Autosys.
• Ensuring reliable system operations, using implementation of telemetry, monitoring and response for live services,
• Maintaining and working against medium to long-term plans to improve automated Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Supporting and developing the capability of engineers across the Data Practise to create positive outcomes for end users.
• Improving quality, feedback loops and boost productivity across teams in Agile Value Stream.
• Contributing to embedding an agile mindset and approach focused on improving outcomes.
