Location - Permanent - Edinburgh

Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office 1 day per week for this position.

We're looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Technology Operations team, r eporting to the Engineering lead (Windows and Active Directory).

• You'll work with the Windows Server team to support and develop Windows Servers and work closely with IT Security and Application teams.
• You'll work with our offshore (India) team to support the Windows Server estate.
• You'll have the opportunity to lead the transition to a DevOps support model.
• Help Improve and develop Windows Server team patching methods.
• Work using Agile methodologies

What you'll be doing

• Supporting Windows Servers both on-prem and in AWS
• Develop the Windows Bakery image that will be used to deploy new servers.
• Ensuring that Windows Server Confluence pages are updated and accurate.

We need you to have

• Extensive experience working with and supporting Windows Server.
• DevOps experience.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with offshore teams.
• Experience with AWS

And if you have any of these, even better

• Experience of managing and supporting Active Directory
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID.
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence

Role Alignment

Following the announcement regarding Tesco's' strategic partnership with Barclays, this role will support our banking business and will transfer to Barclay's UK towards the end of 2024, subject to regulatory approval. Please note, the transfer date may change.
