Job summary

In this post you will join a team of committed and excellent information analysts working in CPFT on the development and operation of businessintelligence systems and work packages for the production of internal and external activity information. You will work on the specification,development, testing and deployment of data warehouse and reporting solutions, and the production of information and business intelligence fromclinical and corporate data.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be able deconstruct complex service issues and lead on the development of measurement regimes. They will beable to proactively communicate findings and encourage utilisation of data for service decision-making. It is an important part of the role to be ableto look beyond initial requirements, challenge assumptions and generate insight. opportunities.

  1. Support the delivery of effective and efficient services by enabling better management decision making. This is done by ensuring the availability of trusted information, both internally and externally, and supporting the information use capabilities of colleagues and ensuring that the organisations external activity reporting requirements are met.
  2. Lead the development for the trusts MHSDS, CSDS and other statutory submission and be the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Liaise and communicate with external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate data provided by external organisations.
  4. Analysis and interpretation of user requirements into technical requirements with associated documentation.
  5. Provide updated documentation on technical solution proposals, requirements, and functional specifications.
  6. Maintain an awareness of the latest software tools, keeping up to date with technological sources and innovations.
  7. Lead for the development of the CPFT data warehouse reporting solution, including data architecture, processing, and appropriate presentation layer from a range of clinical and operational data sources. Whilst appropriate alternative solutions should be considered, the technical environment is mainly with Microsoft SQL Server products. The trust utilises Office 365 which allows for development and reporting using tools like Power Apps and Power BI.
  8. Lead, develop and enhance analysis using data from within the Trust data warehouse, but also across a wider range of available data sources, to ensure that knowledge and insight is gained and shared.
  9. Have good working knowledge of Azure.
  10. Accountable for ensuring that assigned internal and external activity information is available to the required standard and meets the required quality and governance standards.
  11. Providing appropriate leadership and support within a technical environment to colleagues within the Information and Performance department.

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs.
