Job Description

We're recruiting for a Senior SWIFT SME (Service Manager) to join us in London.

The primary responsibility for this role will be to take ownership of the management and support of our SWIFT and CREST applications and associated messaging services.

The future evolution of this role over the next couple of years will be to manage and lead the migration to the SWIFT Alliance Cloud solution and then to own and manage the service globally, working closely with other regions to establish a global support model.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the SWIFT application/system and its modules to deliver business functionality. There will also be involvement in maintenance activities such as upgrades, security patching, configuration changes and business continuity testing as well as maintaining passwords and certificates which must be regularly updated and safe stored
  • Maintaining the integrity of systems or services within the remit by fully investigating all incidents and resolving them in a timely manner. Ensuring all incidents and problems are accurately recorded and updated as per the Incident Management Matrix and SLAs
  • Regularly reviewing alerting to ensure prompt notification and resolution of production incidents and updating outdated alerts when necessary
  • Proactively highlighting potential capacity, performance or operational issues and taking preventative action where necessary
  • Performing trend analysis, highlighting repeat issues and implementing solutions for permanent resolutions
  • Continually incorporating quality management, assurance, company security and best practices into all support areas to ensure services are delivered within agreed Business Requirements. Ensuring proper implementation of changes in accordance with Change Management procedures.
  • Maintaining effective support processes for all software/systems across platforms
  • Providing technical support and advice to users. Liaising with other IT staff and/or with external providers as required to resolve complex hardware/software and application problems

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience in the configuration and support of SAA, SAG, HSM, SWIFTNet and WebPlatform, Swift Translator, to Subject Matter Expert level
  • An understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL)
  • Experience with CREST, SWIFT Fin / Finplus Messages and CBPR+
  • Experience of analysing and implementing annual SWIFT standards changes
  • A good understanding of SWIFT connectivity and able to attend data centres to perform maintenance activities such as router & VPN issue diagnosis, SWIFT HSM install and maintenance
  • Demonstrable experience in SQL, Linux and scripting using bash, ksh
