Senior Surveyor - Valuations

We have an exciting growth opportunity for experienced RICS registered valuer to join our commercial valuations team based in London as a Senior Surveyor. The role will have a particular focus on Asset Valuation instructions and the opportunity to work on a wide range of asset classes, in a client facing role, as part of a growing team.

Our London based valuations team cover the whole of London and the south-east region and report on a wide range of properties including commercial investment properties, operational assets, residential developments, commercial and mixed use developments.

Main tasks

• Work within the existing valuation team in London, providing valuations for financial reporting purposes as well as loan security and other valuation requirements.
• Carry out inspections, calculate floor and site areas, comparable research, demographic and economic research, planning and statutory enquiries, company trading analysis, lease reading and summarising, development / option agreement reading and reviewing, preparation of valuations / development appraisals.
• Contribution to the growth of the business by identifying new business opportunities across the Commercial valuation sector.
• Assist in the delivery of major projects.
• Financial and client reporting.
• Delivery of valuation reports in accordance with client instructions and RICS Valuation Standards.
• Participation in the ongoing development and implementation of an effective profit centre business plan developed in-line with the Carter Jonas vision.

What does it take to be successful?

You will be an experienced chartered surveyor and registered valuer, with a strong knowledge of valuations across commercial assets. You will have good good working knowledge of relevant legislation and will ideally have a strong understanding of the local market to be able to identify new opportunities to grow the business further. Travel will be required in this role and a driving licence is essential.
