Role Purpose

The Associate Director role is client facing and transaction based, predominantly encompassing the sourcing and acquisition of specialist data centre real estate on behalf of corporate clients within the EMEA region, based out of London.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual with self-initiative. The successful candidate will be commercially minded with an ability to work effectively as part of a team and alongside large corporate, technology and telecommunications sector clients, focused on executing high profile real estate transactions across EMEA.

Good communication and relationship building skills are essential as the role is likely to involve close liaison with the CBRE office network around the world with some opportunities to travel. The role is particularly suited to an individual who is looking to utilise and grow their transactional experience through working with a range of blue chip organisations across multiple geographies. This role requires someone who understands and appreciates the importance of using discretion with important company information.

This role works as part of a close-knit and market leading team based in London, which is the largest of its kind in the world, based in one location and further benefits from the wider CBRE global network. The team specialises in technology focused real estate which is an exciting, dynamic and fast-moving industry sector providing team members with opportunities to develop new business skills in addition to those of the traditional real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with global occupier clients to develop and advise on their data centre requirements and strategy across EMEA.
  • Sourcing, negotiation and execution of data centre transactions across EMEA (acquisitions, expansions and renewals).
  • Delivering presentations to existing and target clients on data centre market dynamics across EMEA.
  • Developing a strong profile and network within the data centre market to assist with market knowledge and business development opportunities.
  • As experience develops, public speaking opportunities will also be available at European data centre conferences.

Person Specification/Requirements

  • A degree in real estate
  • Essential experience of real estate transactions
  • Previous office or industrial agency experience would be desirable
  • Proven client facing experience
  • Commercially astute
  • Ambitious and self-motivated
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority
  • Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently
  • Maintains a positive attitude towards routine tasks
  • Accurate and exceptional attention to detail
