Knight Frank is looking to hire a Senior Surveyor / Associate to join our Affordable Housing, Residential Investment team.

Role:

Within the Affordable Housing team, your immediate focus will be to lead on sale and acquisition mandates, valuations and provide consultancy advice within a highly proactive and profitable team. You will be responsible for growing your network within the sector a securing new business, providing excellent advice to clients in a growing specialist sector. In addition, the role will involve working on wider opportunities across the business. This will include advising on the Affordable Housing strategies within the BTR, student and portfolios as well as providing Valuation and Consultancy advice.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the sale of Affordable Housing opportunities on the behalf of developer clients for a broad range of asset types and tenures across the residential and affordable housing sector. This will include development sites, investment portfolios, and high value mixed use schemes.
  • Valuation and Consultancy of both future and existing affordable homes.
  • Sourcing and generating new instructions through proactive Client Care.
  • Close liaison with key developers and investors to maintain a consistently high standard of Client Care.
  • Working closely with senior team members on high profile disposals, acquisitions, and client pitches.
  • Supporting investors with due diligence reports for their investment committee papers.
  • Lead on constructing and reviewing more detailed financial models including preparation and review of development appraisals and investment cash flows using Excel, Pamwin and Argus.
  • Reading/extracting data from financial models provided by Registered Providers and Developers.
  • To support an expanding team in its ambitious business development objectives.

Key Experience Required:

  • Experience and expertise in the UK Affordable Housing sector. Willingness to adapt in this rapidly evolving specialist sector is essential.
  • A detailed understanding of income driven investment valuations, development appraisals and how different tenures of Affordable Housing are modelled.
  • A proven track record of leading on transactions across a variety of deal structures - forward fund, land and S106 deals.
  • Experience working with Housing Associations, Registered Providers and Affordable Housing Funds.
  • A proactive nature, determination, ambition, adaptability and dynamism.
  • Organised, focussed and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, Pamwin/Proval and Microsoft Office system
