Senior Support Worker - Occupational Opportunities

Due to the previous post holder retiring, an opportunity has become available to work within the Care4CE Occupational Opportunities Team as a Senior Support Worker for 37 hours a week. The team offer gardening and countryside volunteer groups across Cheshire East. This is a permanent position primarily working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, although some early evenings may be required. The service is office base is Macclesfield Town Hall, but the groups are in various places in Crewe, Sandbach, Macclesfield and Knutsford.
About you
The team have a vehicle to transport equipment, so a driver is needed and an interest in gardening and being able to work outside in all weather conditions. Experience of working in a Social Care or Health Care setting supporting groups of adults doing activities. Also experience of supporting service users and carers, and developing good working relationships with community groups.

About the Role
The team offer gardening groups and countryside volunteer opportunities to adults, with mental health and learning difficulties. This provides the therapeutic benefits of gardening and being outside which has a positive impact on wellbeing.
