Senior Support Worker - Ty Banwen, Treharris- £12.50 to £13.75 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience - Full time 45.5 Hours per week - Maternity Cover (9 months)

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Ty Banwen, where you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care to children in our home. In this leadership position, you will help guide and mentor a dedicated team, ensuring that each child receives the individual support they need to thrive. You will work closely with the team to create a nurturing environment, assist with daily activities, and provide ongoing support as children navigate their educational and personal development. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping the team maintain a consistent, caring approach, while also contributing to exciting outings and positive experiences for the children in our care.

A day in the life of a Senior Support Worker with Priority Childcare involves:

  • Act as shift leader
  • Assist in ensuring service standards are maintained.
  • Participating in the on-call rota.
  • Assist in reporting and evidence gathering activities.
  • Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in assessment, development and review of support and care plans.
  • Promote and celebrate homes achievements.

To be a successful Senior Support Worker with Priority Childcare, you'll need:

  • Experience in a support environment.
  • Driving License
  • QCF level 3 qualified or working towards
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations.
  • Lead by example and always act as a positive role model.
  • Upload company policies and standards.
  • Able to understand and adhere to relevant safeguarding.
  • Good awareness of conducting Health and Safety risk assessments.

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
