About the role

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an aspiring Senior Support Worker to support our existing team and further develop within St Luke`s. This post is initially for the Respite service, but it is a requirement of the role to be flexible in order to support within both Respite or supported living services.

Driving high performance in the recruitment and retention of support staff and high-quality practice, this is a position where you can be extremely innovative and creative and work closely in partnership with the workforce, taking forward new ideas and continually developing the service.

The hours for this role are 22 per week and will be based on a pre-written rolling rota with set days and both weekend shifts and sleep ins. As this role is part time, it does not meet the salary requirements to offer sponsorship.

What will you be doing?

The Senior Support Worker role is pivotal to support our strong team to achieve positive outcomes for the people we support.

The successful candidate will be required to provide direct line management to a small team of support workers and work within our Respite or supported living service with the guidance of the Registered Manager and Operational Manager.

About you

Are you a strong and dynamic leader wanting to inspire and motivate others to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our services?

Do you have the desire to progress services to achieve the best outcomes for adults with learning disabilities, whilst also developing staff to be motivated and want to achieve high standards of care and support?.

This is a great career opportunity for an experienced manager with a good understanding of and background in Adult Social care.

You can think strategically, identify ongoing improvements and implement changes across several teams and drive and sustain high performance across a diverse service. You will also have a good knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation and guidance which governs Adult Social care and Care Quality Commission.

Possessing strong management and coaching skills, you will thrive in an environment where you are able to use your creative talents and make a genuine difference to service delivery and the workforce. We are looking for someone wanting to make a difference, working with skilled, knowledgeable, passionate and responsive colleagues within Adult Social Care and with partner agencies.
