Evergreen Lodge are looking to appoint a Senior Support Worker. Evergreen Lodge supports people with complex Mental Health diagnosis and challenging behaviour. We do everything we can to improve the health and wellbeing and rehabilitation into the community of the individuals we support, and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone.
As a senior support worker you will act as a positive role model, to provide effective supervision and guidance to other team members, contributing to their performance and professional development. Providing meaningful supervisions to your team and lead the team meetings as required.
Key accountabilities:
- Supervise and support the delivery of person centred support and care
- Ensure all external and internal reporting is completed as per deadline and report any exceptions to the site management team.
- To ensure that residents partake in their activities, that person centred plans in place for each individual in order that they enjoy their lives.
- To receive and deliver handover, allocating roles/tasks within the shift, changing the plan as required and ensuring good communication is maintained throughout the shift.
- Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a team of support colleagues undertaking similar duties dealing with immediate operational issues and referring these for follow up to a more senior manager.
- Supervises and coaches support workers in delivery and supports people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
- Administering medication
- Managing individual's finances and the homes budget as required for the role in line with policy and procedures.
- Keep up-to date will all required knowledge/training
- Understand the need for accurate record keeping and will at all times follow policy and procedures, support plans, risk assessments and relevant legislation.
- Previous care experience is required.
