Our business
As a global leading provider of engineering, procurement and construction management expertise to the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors we are proud to be able to expand our UK team and have partnered with Airswift to support our recruitment plans.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Aberdeen office, to join a north sea brownfield project. This is a 3 month contract position open on a PAYE or Ltd company basis.

Key Responsibilities and background:

• Maintain the required technical quality of work.
• Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.
• Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations.
• Ensure as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
• Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their review.
• Maintain good communication with the client and visit sites when necessary.
• Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project.
• Commitment to and promotion of client values and ensuring the realisation of company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures.

Critical Skills & Personal Attributes:

• Candidates must as a minimum have a BSc degree (or equivalent) in Civil / structural Engineering.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CEng) status or evidence of working towards chartered status.
• Experience in both FEED and detailed design.
• A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the civil / structural engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields and interdependencies between them.
• Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation including CDM.
• Competent use of civil/ structural engineering specific software such as STAAD Pro.
• Experience of working within a multidiscipline 3D model environment.
• Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
