Senior Structural Engineer

Role overview

You will provide structural engineering services on large or mega projects to Worley' and its customers', including technical support and supervision within the structural engineering team.Will provide structural engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support by way of calculations and specifications. Experience in engineering design of concrete and structural steel would be preferred and the successful candidate must be a competent user of StaadPro or similar software.

You'll be:
• Required to operate within a multidiscipline environment and so strong communication skills to enable effective liaison, both inside the project and externally to clients is essential.
• Able to ensure the technical and commercial execution of the design in accordance with the control estimate, specific requirements of the project schedule and to Worley standards. They must also ensure that the Project's Execution documentation requirements are followed, considering any special contractual requirements.

  • Proactively resolve or assist in resolution of any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer's requirements
  • Take part in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures
  • Interfacing with other disciplines and colleagues both locally and globally to produce structural steelwork and RC calculations to legacy British Standards and Euro Codes

You'll have:

  • A Bachelors' or Masters' degree (or equivalent) in Civil / structural Engineering
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CEng) status or evidence of working towards chartered status.
  • Experience of Petrochem EPC/ EPCm projects
  • Competent use of civil/ structural engineering specific software such as STAAD Pro
  • Experience of working within a multidiscipline 3D model environment
  • Experience in both FEED and detailed design
