Petrofac is seeking a Structural Designer 3 - Contractor for 12 months based in Aberdeen, UK.

The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.

The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements.

Scope of Services:
• Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure for the energy sector.
• Provide technical information to support estimates for project work scopes
• Provide technical expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuring that all design changes are captured by the change control process
• Conduct site surveys on offshore or onshore assets
• Produce structural design drawings / 3d models etc
• Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews / HAZIDS
• provide checking of structural drawings
• Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on technical project issues
• Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards
• Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate

• Presentations sketches etc., to assist in scope communications

Skills/ experience
• Computer literate in Microsoft office applications and relevant discipline specific software

o AutoCAD 2D & 3D

o PDMS

o LFM

o Recap Pro

o Simulate)
• Ability to investigate and interpret data
• willing to travel offshore/site and capable of completing site surveys
• Brownfield Project Experience desirable.
• Experience within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry will be preferable but not essential
• Suitable design experience within other engineering industries will be considered where appropriate.
