Senior Strategic Fundraising & Events Consultant

Jewish Care, the largest health and social care organisation for the UK Jewish community, is seeking a dynamic Senior Strategic Fundraising & Events Consultant to lead its events team and key fundraising programmes, including the Friends of Jewish Care and Young Jami & Jewish Care (YJJC) portfolios. With an annual fundraising target of £20m, this role is critical to engaging supporters, delivering exceptional events, and sustaining our mission for future generations.

This post is fixed term for 12 months.

Role Overview

You will lead a high performing team, oversee stewardship programmes, and manage a portfolio of around 20 events annually. This role involves building relationships with donors, volunteers, and committee members while driving the growth of key fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Manage six direct reports, ensuring team performance and professional development.
  • Fundraising: Develop stewardship strategies, grow the Friends of Jewish Care programme, and manage the YJJC and JC Families events calendar.
  • Events Management: Lead flagship events such as the HSC Gala Dinner, ensure income targets are met, and continuously improve the events portfolio.
  • Strategic Input: Support and advise the Director of Fundraising and Marketing on key initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree or equivalent and a fundraising qualification.
  • 5+ years' fundraising experience with a proven track record of meeting targets.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Experience engaging young supporters (20-35 age range).
  • Knowledge of charity law, legacy fundraising, Gift Aid, and data protection.
