Role Context:
Our Strategic Asset Management Advisory team operates globally in various sectors developing and implementing Asset Management frameworks, asset strategies and delivering asset risk management for our clients. As a consultant you will work with clients to understand their business objectives and constraints and the develop appropriate strategic asset management solutions.
You will build and nurture long-term client relationships and be recognized as a trusted advisor. You will also learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry and grow your skills and career.
You'll be:
- Providing expert advice on life-cycle management to maximize asset value.
- Designing and implementing tailored asset management frameworks considering the organizational context, based on a deep understanding of the asset portfolio, its performance requirements and risk profile.
- Designing specific asset risk management strategies to deliver an optimizing balance of risk reduction and implementation costs.
- Identifying clients' key asset management decision requirements to enable the development of suitable frameworks, decision support tools and data strategies.
- Designing and implementing management systems and asset governance framework from corporate policy through to asset plans.
- Leading organizational change / transformation activities within client organizations to improve asset management maturity.
- Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues in the team.
- Assisting in 'selling' advisory engagements of various sizes, contributing to marketing and content creation (e.g., industry/case insights, publications, perspectives, thought leadership articles, webinars, participating in conferences, etc.).
- Identifying and leading new opportunities by establishing and maintaining your network of client relationships, deriving significant consulting engagements and pull-through opportunities for the organization.
You'll have:
- Extensive strategic asset management experience as an asset management consultant or asset management practitioner in an asset owner/operator organization.
- Operational experience in leadership/management positions or as an advisor, consultant with a good understanding of site operations, maintenance, and performance.
- Experience developing management systems and governance frameworks.
- Experience developing & optimizing Asset Strategies and Asset Plans.
- An understanding of the factors that may contribute to asset deterioration and able to prioritize interventions and forecast how an asset is likely to operate in the future.
- Understanding of digital asset management, EAM and CMMS.
- Commercial awareness and confident in preparing bid documents and managing resources, deliverables and budgets on projects.
- Understanding of engineering tools and methodologies and their application to strategic asset management and asset risk management.
- Able to lead business development activities including the preparation of pitches and proposals.
- Outstanding critical thinking, analytical, and quantitative problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize findings and craft solid data-driven, unbiased conclusions that clients understand the implications in realistic and practical terms.
- Experience in supporting clients at strategic, tactical, and operational levels, working collaboratively in a multicultural environment and diverse teams.
- Ability and desire to travel on international business trips.
