Senior Store Security Manager
Role Responsibility
You will support the Head of Operations & Loss Prevention in defining, delivering and embedding the Loss Prevention and Security strategic plan in relation to the security operations centre and effective escalation of incidents from across all of our locations.
This will support the delivery of our stock loss KPIs, sales targets, profit targets, and full price sell through. Ensuring protection of our people, our product and our premises through class leading security operations, processes and teams.
This role will partner with a second Senior Security Manager to lead the Security Operations Centre function and to drive the defined strategy in a structured way, identifying risks and deliver a collaborative approach to security and loss prevention.
You will:
Ø Be seen as a senior leader within Loss Prevention and Security team and more widely across the Retail Operations team and collaborate with our teams across all stores to deliver a world class security operation.
Ø Act as Store Duty Security Manager when required. Responding to incidents effectively, including evacuation, invacuation and other emergency security and safety procedures, utilising all resources available and engaging with senior store leadership and our executive team if necessary
Ø Ensure the Security Operations Centre reflects our business needs.
Ø Ensure all current and future processes, procedures and legislative requirements are up to date and planned for
Ø Ensure the delivery of the Selfridges Loss Prevention and Security strategy to support achieving our business goals.
Ø Develop the security teams so they can support and deliver the strategy as set by the Head of Operations & Loss Prevention and will build a diverse and high performing team, with clear purpose, roles and accountabilities.
Ø Fundamentally an expert in delivery, technically capable of challenging and collaborating across multiple functions and stores.
Ø Ensure that we protect our, people, product and premises 24/7 and 365 days a year. That our team respond proactively and professionally to all challenges and ensure support and deliver the IMG and CMT processes as required.
Ø Build effective relationships with all relevant external parties: Police, National Crime Agency, Crime Prevention agencies and collaborate with other organisations in identifying and sharing good practice
The Ideal Candidate
• A leader, who is naturally committed, enthusiastic and motivational, with the ability to inspire teams and lead with purpose with a passion to succeed
• Experienced. You have a background in developing, leading and managing effective security teams in a retail environment as well as SOC policies and procedures.
• Dynamic and a great communicator. Able to manage multiple stakeholders, and engage people at every level of our business, influencing change where necessary.
• Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You are calm under pressure and can give clear guidance in times of crisis.
• Commercially astute, driving innovation and new ways of working to ensure the strategic and tactical goals are met in the most commercially efficient way
• Able to drive innovation, anticipate developments and seize commercial and strategic opportunities seeing them through to achieve successful outcomes and truly create the extraordinary for both internal and external customers.
• The Senior Security Manager will lead and manage a diverse and high performing team, with clear purpose, roles and accountabilities
• An empathetic leader who thinks about their team, their business and their environment
• Carefully listens to diverse thoughts, to gain the perspective of others and act in a way that incorprates a variety of views
• Available to support the teams to manage incidents and crisis events including outside of normal store trading hours
