This is a senior role responsible for stock and systems across The WEB, Rockingham. The role is responsible for leading the stock and systems teams and function, and providing a full service to the operational teams to ensure that the site runs at an optimal level..

The Senior Stock and Systems Manager will work with operational & support teams across site, leading the start up of new business as well as the BAU for our existing customers on site.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the Stock and Systems team - two direct reports with teams below.
  • Management and planning of Inventory to ensure that the systems operation runs efficiently and smooth.
  • Creation of systems driven management reports and reports writing within the WMS, Manhatten 2020 and Manhatten Scale.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly housekeeping routines are completed in line with company and customer expectations
  • Work with Capacity and Planning Manager to advise on slotting and layout decisions, this ensuring that site is optimised correctly to drive productivity
  • Lead external audits, be point of contact for all audits relating to stock
  • Ensure daily PI cycle counts are completed with 100% PI checks complete in line with agreed cyclical count process
  • Identify and drive areas for operational improvement, liaising with on-site operational teams in driving focus areas
  • Manage overall site stockholding for all customers
  • Automated site covering multiple customers, included bonded items
  • Maintenance of the Warehouse Management System to retain high levels of service.
  • Management of the sites and the networks systems housekeeping, liability, and integrity.
  • Management of teams across different departments, to make sure the correct skill and knowledge are in place.
  • To identify possible problems and seek suitable solutions that are both cost-effective and timely.
  • Design and implement re-engineering projects without effecting store availability.
  • Advise management of problems and shutdowns which may affect operational performance.
  • Control the site stock levels and manage the site occupancy across all contracts.
  • Manage and control the flow of stock into outside storage, if / when required.
  • Make sure the network stock listing is controlled and the right stock is transferred around the network.
  • Work with the customer on network and site projects, new system platforms, changes to existing platforms.
  • Coach and promote CI within your team and site.
  • Collating and providing statistical system information in several formats to meet the business needs.
  • Maintenance of warehouse layout and pick-face layout to ensure most efficient processes are being followed.
  • Weekly and monthly presentations to client and regular presentation and information sharing with senior internal stakeholders.

Experience Required:

  • Must have a proven track record of demonstrating operational leadership within a demanding environment
  • Experience of Manhattan 2020 and Scale is essential.
  • Experience in a similar role is required.
  • Will have excellent team building, leadership, and motivational skills.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate and influence in an open and honest manner with colleagues at all levels.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the commitment, enthusiasm, and flexibility to change management and influence site culture.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
