The Trauma and Orthopaedic/ Fracture clinic at Charing Cross hospital serves as a specialised unit dedicated to providing acute care to patients with traumatic injuries and follow up care to our elective orthopaedic, neurosurgical, plastic and podiatry patients.
As the North West London Major Revision Centre we provide advanced care to patients with complex conditions, often requiring revision surgeries, complex wounds and extensive follow-up care. As a specialised centre, our clinic is reliant on efficient and coordinated care, requiring a team that can quickly adapt to patient needs and treatment requirements. The Nurse in Charge will act as a liaison with key services. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to provide evidence of personal and professional development. Applicants must possess a clinical history in orthopaedics. Applicants must possess the British Casting Certificate or be willing to work towards it.
Main duties of the job
- To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients that is compassionate and caring.
- To assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate them without supervision
- To assist in leading and monitoring the performance of the nursing team
- To deputise for the Senior Nurse when required
