Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post-holder will be responsible for delivering a high standard of sexual and reproductive health care to patients. This will include delivering nurse-led clinics for Sexual Health and contraception for young people as part of the Camden and Islington Young People's Sexual Health Service. To support health care support workers and students.

The post holder will facilitate the learning experience and environment for nurses (both pre and post registration) and other health professionals undergoing training and education in the department. This will include supervising and mentoring students undertaking contraceptive and sexual health courses.

This role has an outreach remit delivering sexual health services including testing, treatment and contraception in colleges, youth clubs and at events.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential criteria

  • RGN Registered
  • Experience of working in a sexual health clinic
  • Experience of working with young people
  • DFSRH/equivalent or willingness to complete

Desirable criteria

  • LOC SDI
  • STIF course or equivalent
  • Outreach or health promotion experience
