Essential & Desireable
Essential criteria
- Registered Children's Nurse/Community Public Health Practitioner
- 1st level Degree OR equivalent experience
- Evidence of ongoing development and training undertaken in respect of safeguarding to minimum level 3
- Knowledge of national and local Safeguarding policy and guidelines and recommendations
- Knowledge of legislation relating to safeguarding
- Experience of safeguarding supervision
- Experience delivering training
- Experience of policy development and implementation
- Awareness of issues affecting diverse populations
- Experience of multi-agency child protection work
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- IT skills
- Ability to analyse, critically evaluate information in a concise and accurate manner
- Confidence to challenge appropriately in difficult situations
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and to prioritise work
Desirable criteria
- Qualification in safeguarding supervision
- Accredited training qualification

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
