Person specification

Essential & Desireable

Essential criteria

  • Registered Children's Nurse/Community Public Health Practitioner
  • 1st level Degree OR equivalent experience
  • Evidence of ongoing development and training undertaken in respect of safeguarding to minimum level 3
  • Knowledge of national and local Safeguarding policy and guidelines and recommendations
  • Knowledge of legislation relating to safeguarding
  • Experience of safeguarding supervision
  • Experience delivering training
  • Experience of policy development and implementation
  • Awareness of issues affecting diverse populations
  • Experience of multi-agency child protection work
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • IT skills
  • Ability to analyse, critically evaluate information in a concise and accurate manner
  • Confidence to challenge appropriately in difficult situations
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and to prioritise work

Desirable criteria

  • Qualification in safeguarding supervision
  • Accredited training qualification

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
