Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria

  • NMC registration
  • Knowledge of tobacco control and public health: An up to date knowledge of the evidence base behind reducing smoking in pregnancy, including knowledge of NICE guidelines acquired through training to relevant degree level

Desirable criteria

  • Training and/or experience in public health and /or health service management

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of services/projects and/or delivering clinical service change and development

Skills and Capabilities

Essential criteria

  • Ability to deal with complex facts or situations requiring analysis, interpretation and comparison of options
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to listen to and respect others views and opinions
  • Ability to communicate contentious and conflicting information in a sensitive and tactful manner, particularly where there may be resistance or barriers to understanding.
  • Ability to plan complex activities, organise and project manage a diverse range of projects/programme work streams
  • Computer literature - ability to use the required systems/software packages
