We are seeking a dynamic and talented Senior Sous Chef to help lead a high-performing kitchen team and deliver a food offering that's as stylish and memorable as the venue itself.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Senior Sous Chef with a passion for quality, creativity, and consistency to take the next step in their career. With a competitive salary, quarterly performance bonus, and guaranteed Tronc, the total package for this role reaches approximately £50,000 per year.
Key Benefits & Remuneration
- Base Salary: £38,000 per annum
- Quarterly Bonus: 10% of salary, linked to GP, labour, and customer satisfaction metrics
- Tronc: Guaranteed £7,800 per annum
- Total OTE: Circa £50,000
- Approx 52-hour working week
About the Role
As Senior Sous Chef, you'll support the Head Chef in overseeing daily operations, maintaining exceptional standards, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of the food offering. From vibrant brunches to afternoon tea, all-day dining to bespoke private events, you'll help shape a dynamic and trend-forward menu that delights guests and drives business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and kitchen leadership
- Mentor and lead a passionate brigade of chefs, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Assist in managing kitchen costs, labour efficiency, stock control and overall profitability
- Ensure high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Bring creativity and innovation, particularly in brunch, casual fine dining, and events catering
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in a Senior Sous Chef or strong Sous Chef role within a boutique hotel, premium restaurant, or high-end hospitality setting
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a strong focus on team development
- Solid understanding of financial controls, stock management, and rotas
- Tech-savvy and confident with kitchen management software, online ordering, and reporting tools
- Calm under pressure with a passion for quality and consistency
