Aston Villa Football Club is one of England's oldest and most prestigious football clubs. At our state-of-the-art training ground, Bodymoor Heath, we are dedicated to providing top-tier facilities and services to our players, staff, and guests. We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team, helping to create nutritious and delicious meals that support peak performance and recovery.
- Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of professional athletes
- Collaborate on the creation of diverse and balanced menus, ensuring a variety of options that cater to different dietary requirements and preferences
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene are maintained
- Assist in the ordering and management of kitchen supplies, ensuring freshness and minimising waste
- Maintain strict adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Support the culinary team in catering for special events, including team meetings, staff functions, and guest visits
About you:
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen
- Culinary Arts degree or equivalent professional qualification preferred
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and styles
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for athletes is a plus
- Passion for cooking and a commitment to culinary excellence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
