The Senior Fleet Sourcing Manager will be responsible for the improvement and execution of Amazon's Last Mile Global van sourcing of tens of thousands of vans/products annually across the globe. To be successful in this role, you need to be comfortable to manage highly complex relationships with external stakeholders and driving multiple internal Amazon teams to achieve your goals. A successful candidate will be analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The candidate will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership, extensive procurement experience and has successfully managed and developed highly effective teams.
This role will require the ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
Key job responsibilities
- Analyze operational workflows to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to develop and align processes
- Create and maintain business requirements documentation
- Support implementation of new systems and procedures
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives
- Optimize routine administrative tasks
- Design and coordinate internal reporting dashboards
- Manage and enhance supplier communication interfaces
A day in the life
- Review and respond to critical updates regarding ongoing van procurement processes and delivery timelines
- Lead cross-functional meetings to align technical teams, business stakeholders, and suppliers on process improvements and new requirements
- Analyze operational data and create visualizations to identify bottlenecks in the van sourcing workflow and present solutions
- Participate in supplier negotiations and relationship management sessions, discussing optimization workstreams and implementation of technology innovation
- Work on process automation initiatives and documentation updates
- Update and review key performance dashboards to track global van sourcing progress and identify potential risks
- Collaborate with technical teams to enhance supplier communication interfaces and streamline documentation processes
- Activities occur throughout the day with continuous communication across different teams and management of ad-hoc issues in the global sourcing process.
About the team
The EU Global Fleet & Product team is responsible for Amazon's Last Mile Fleet across Sourcing, Supply Chain planning and execution, Product development and Electrification.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience with business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business
- Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
- Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps
