One of our large Financial Services clients is partnering with EPAM to address their staffing challenges and support rebadging initiatives as part of their workforce transformation strategy. This collaboration aims to help the client achieve their goals through the internalisation of talent. The role sits in one arm of the client's business units - a global leader of financial market indices, analytics and data solutions. The group serves institutional investors, asset managers, and financial markets worldwide, providing an extensive portfolio of benchmark indices, tools, and insights to enable efficient investment decision-making, portfolio construction and risk management.

As a Senior Solutions Architect in the Engineering Division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and designing solutions for transformational and operational risk initiatives across the entire Index Platform estate. You will specialise in designing web applications, middleware/API layer and AWS Cloud environments and develop proof of concepts whilst taking ownership for end-to-end technical project delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the detailed architecture design of the new business objective for the Index platform with specialisation in designing web applications and process automation initiatives
• Produce and promote high quality solution designs and application architectures that are aligned with the group's architecture principles and strategy
• Work with business and technology teams to produce current state/target state architecture, drive transition plans and roadmap creation
• Design enterprise level web applications on multiple technology stacks - Angular, Java/C#.net, Python
• Act as a technical consultant providing technical knowledge, coaching/mentoring, leveraging knowledge of industry trends and best practices while championing policies, procedures and best practice design principles
• Participate in gap analysis activities and, where required, work with them to understand influence their roadmaps to support strategic objectives
• Where required facilitate and develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to demonstrate new concepts or technology choices
• Work closely with group functions such as infrastructure, information security building relationships and becoming a trusted point of contact
• Mentor technical leads and consultants by sharing in-depth domain expertise and technical knowledge, fostering the development of Subject Matter Expert (SME) level proficiency within the team
• Support prioritising technical backlog based on the business priorities for both BAU platforms as well as transformation initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields or relevant professional experience
• Certified AWS Solution Architect with expertise in AWS native services and IaaS solution design and architecture
• Proven experience in technical architecture, including design patterns for platforms such as UIs, microservices, data lakes, APIs, RDBMS and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Strong knowledge of formal design methodologies and SDLC frameworks, particularly Agile and SAFe
• Significant experience in creating distributed, highly resilient solutions and integrating enterprise application systems
• Deep understanding of information security best practices and managing dependencies in complex matrix-structured organisations
• Expertise in Asset Management with knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities, Multi-Asset Portfolio Analytics and indexes/benchmarks
• Prior experience implementing Business Process Management (BPM) solutions, with a focus on optimisation and automation
• Demonstrated capability in designing scalable architecture for business-critical environments
• Ability to align solutions with strategic objectives through gap analysis, roadmap creation and collaboration with stakeholders
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade solutions in high-pressure and regulated environments
