About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Account Manager to join a market disruptor in Artificial intelligence. Working with significant OEM's in the automotive sector and as a scale up the chance to build something from humble beginnings. We are looking for someone to join the team who cares about transformation as much as we do. Someone who likes a challenge and wants to work on the cutting edge of technology to deliver solutions that solve key problems for our society and planet, to help customers transition to net zero technologies.

We are looking for someone with automotive industry experience and SaaS and / or cloud experience who will be entrusted with the planning, execution, and successful delivery of customer projects in our dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating engineers and stakeholders, managing resources, and ensuring the delivery of projects that meet both the technical standards and the strategic goals of our company and the customers' needs and requirements. The candidate should have experience in working on cloud-based platforms or PLM and engineering platforms for delivery of large projects to the end customer.

This will be a senior role reporting to the Director of Business Development with the ability to grow your own team with the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning:

Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with the internal project objectives, deliverables and KPI's and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation. Ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, cost, and timeline. This will be a senior position to manage current projects and to grow a team as we evolve the business and win more clients.

Project Reporting
Analyse, evaluate, and overcome project risks, and produce project reports and dashboards for stakeholders including Senior Leadership Team and Executive, along with periodic customer reporting.

Technical Expertise and Support:

Be a Problem Solver. They provide expert advice and technical support to clients, which often requires a deep understanding of the industry and how our products and solutions can apply to that industry. Provide account teams with expertise to better serve the account and to ensure on time and target deliverables.

Project Management:

  • Implementation Leader: Overseeing the deployment of technology solutions and ensuring that implementations are completed on time and meet client expectations.
  • Ensure Cross-functional Coordination: They work closely with various internal teams, such as development, product, sales, and support, to ensure that client issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
  • Feedback Loop: Conveying client feedback to internal teams for product enhancements or the development of new features that better meet clients' needs.

Relationship Management:

Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships working with the Business development teams. This involves regular communication with clients, understanding their business goals, and continually representing their interests within the firm.

Risks and Issues Management:

Proactively identify potential risks and issues within the project, ensuring that risk mitigation and issue resolution strategies are in place and functional.

Dependency Tracking:

Maintain awareness of all project dependencies and manage the relationships between different work streams of the project.

Change control:

Proactively identify any scope creep and conduct an impact assessment for any change requests submitted by the customer, to advise on change to scope, cost, or timeline.

Capacity Planning and Tracking:

Monitor resource availability and allocation, and monitor and escalate as needed to keep the projects on track.

Continuous Communication:

Serve as the point of contact for project teams and stakeholders, keeping everyone informed of the progress and issues as they arise. Building and ensuring the single source of truth for all customer projects.

Management:

This Person will be a leader for the business and in time will be responsible for setting up and managing the TAM/project capability for the organisation as we grow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • A PRINCE2 qualification would be strongly desirable.
  • Proven project management experience in a technical field, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Experience in handling automotive or aerospace or similar industry projects.
  • Experience or working knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, Wrike or Trello.
  • High proficiency in project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
