Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior QA Consultant with hands-on experience in Guidewire and a strong background in the insurance sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of core insurance platforms, supporting the delivery of high-performing, customer-centric solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across insurance systems.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr).
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in preparing test data and environments.
- Ensure compliance with internal QA standards and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to test automation initiatives and continuous improvement of QA processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospective.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Additional course or certification in Quality Assurance
Essential skills
- Strong working knowledge of Guidewire platforms (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter).
- Familiarity with insurance products, processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of API testing and data validation techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Software Tester within the London Market Insurance domain
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, SoapUI)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with cloud-based environments and DevOps practices.
