As the Senior Software Engineer, you will lead development of first-class technical solutions whilst also actively contributing to and leading a culture of innovation, enthusiasm and passion. You will work with Engineering Managers and Product Management to support the goals and objectives on your team. You will have a focus on end-to-end responsibility for the development, quality, observability, and testing of the software you build.
This role will offer you the opportunity to get hands on with a number of different technologies, however, this particular role will be using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. You'll be working in a team focused on created high-quality front-end solutions for the whole business to use delivered through our design system. An ideal candidate should have previous experience working with design systems, with a passion for web performance and accessibility, but these are not essential.

Some of the great things you'll be doing:
• Work with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Engineering Leadership to design solutions and considering trading-off technical and operational considerations
• Interacting with cross-functional engineering teams across the company to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
• Take responsibility for keys aspects of the development life cycle, from design to implementation, testing, security, and maintenance.
• Ensure testing and security standards are well embedded into the software the team produces.
• Active in a community of practice for engineering to develop and share knowledge
• Leading design reviews, prototyping new technology and evaluating technical feasibility with your peers and colleagues.
• Addressing all aspects of technology and service readiness
• Effectively participate in the team's software development methodologies, such as pairing, code and documentation reviewing and continuous delivery
• Mentor other members of the team
