South Downs Care is comprised of our two homes, Downs House and Stroud House, both nestled in the stunning Hampshire countryside in Petersfield. We are genuinely passionate about delivering personalised care to every resident.
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team of Senior Care Assistants at our home, Downs House. We believe in providing a high level of personalised care in safe, friendly environments in which older people can live fulfilling lifestyles.
Residents are encouraged to stay as physically and mentally active as possible, within their abilities, whether that is by playing board games and taking part in quizzes, or working on arts and handicrafts. Our dedicated staff work hard to ensure that every residents' life is enriched and lived to the full.
We are looking for people who have experience of leading a team in a care home setting and are meds trained. You will be a great addition to the team if you enjoy working and interacting with people, have the right personality and share the same values as us. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, effective communicators, with high standards of care, and who are sensitive to the needs of the elderly.
Working hours are 36 hours per week with varied shifts, including weekdays and weekends; a flexible approach to work is essential.

In return, you can expect:
- a salary of £12.60 per hour (reviewed annually)
- a weekend enhanced rate of £13.10 per hour (for any hours worked on Saturday or Sunday)
- 202 hours annual leave per year (pro-rata, including Bank holidays)
