Job Title: Senior Software Developer (Integrations)
Location: Commutable to Witney (OX28)
Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience + plus benefits
We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented senior software developer to join a dedicated integrations team, working throughout the full product development lifecycle.

In this role you will be working within a collaborative and agile team, leveraging our existing integration framework to connect to a wide range of external services and partners. You will tackle complex technical challenges and play a key role in expanding the capabilities and reach of Webexpenses.
As a senior Developer you will not only write high-quality code but also mentor other developers, influence our technical direction, work with other development teams, and implement scalability and reliability into our integration framework.
In addition to this you will need to keep up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends, you will regularly tackle new, intriguing technical challenges and devise elegant solutions.
In this role you will:
- Architect and develop scalable, secure, and reliable integrations.
- Work extensively with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and other integration patterns.
- Leverage AWS services, with a strong focus on AWS Lambdas.
- Work with UI developers to develop and maintain user-facing features.
- Uphold and promote high standards for code quality.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to third-party integrations.
- Work closely with product managers, and other engineering teams to define integration requirements.
To be considered for this exciting role candidates will have demonstrable competence in the majority of the following technologies:
Essential:
- Solid understanding of the SaaS model in the online environment.
- Proven experience in designing and building scalable, and maintainable applications using Java. (Java 8+, with experience or a strong desire to work with Java 21).
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with core AWS services, including AWS Lambdas, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SNS, Aurora.
- Solid understanding of and experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs and associated authentication.
- Experience with SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
- A strong commitment to writing clean, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Technical design and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and a genuine interest in technological trends.
Desirable:
- Experience in the FinTech industry.
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging queues.
