Making a Difference as Senior Social Worker
The Halton and St Helens Emergency Duty Team, provide an out of hours response to emergency situations for People's Services, Mental Health Services, Homelessness for Vulnerable People, Youth Offending and Asylum Seekers. We provide a point of contact for advice and where necessary, an immediate emergency service to individuals and families who are experiencing crisis.
The primary office base is situated at Municipal Building in Widnes. The service operates on a shift rota basis including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and after midnight on-call working from home.
The team operate using a hybrid shift working model which is inclusive of the opportunity to work from home during weekdays and overnight shifts, dependent on the need and circumstances of the shift, however being office based is expected at weekend day and evening shifts.
As a member of the Halton & St Helens EDT Service you will be part of a skilled and professional team supported by experienced colleagues and Team Manager.
Could you be who we are looking for?
Do you have the knowledge, skills and experience to deliver a high-quality service to vulnerable children and adults? Including Mental Health Act Assessments.
Are you Social Work qualified with a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience?
Do you have an awareness of the legislative and procedural issues relating to safeguarding work?
Can you operate with a high level of professional autonomy?
