ADULTS EMERGENCY DUTY TEAM

Kingston, Merton, Richmond and Sutton Service

The Adults Emergency Duty Team (AEDT) s looking to recruit a full time Senior Social Workers/Approved Mental Health Professional to join the permanent team of 6(which includes the manager) and the compliment of 5 sessional Senior Social Worker/AMHPs.

The team operates across four London Boroughs of Kingston, Merton, Richmond and Sutton and is hosted by Richmond. AEDT provides an emergency social work service to mental health and adult emergency referrals as well as homelessness services to all the adult user groups including mental health.

AEDT operates after hours on a rota basis and covers from 5 pm to 9am during the week and 24 hours at the weekend and bank holidays. The full time AEDT senior social worker will work with four other full time senior social workers on the rota. The team also has a bank of 5 sessional workers who support the permanent staff. The rota pattern is 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off.

We are looking for an experienced AMHPs who have a good understanding of safeguarding adults at risk as well as having excellent social work skills. You will need to be confident of managing risk and be able to work on your own in an often-pressurised environment.

Team members work from home with access via the web to the Richmond IT system. You will be provided with a computer for use at home. A full driving licence and use of a car are also required. The senior social workers are paid at PO4 plus an increment for their AMHP warrant £3,000 per annum and a 10% out of hours allowance.
