Senior social exec

About the roleAs the Senior Social Executive, you will support the Social Content Strategist to deliver best in class social that integrates into the overall social media strategy (owned, earned and paid channels).

As a social specialist, you will play a key role within the social team working with category and channel stakeholders across the business on a series of fast-paced campaigns and initiatives at any one time. You will deliver and implement social media content; including analysing, reporting and measuring success. Your focus will be around organic social, and you will manage the organic social content calendar ensuring that it delivers against our social strategy. You will also deliver organic social Retail Media activity, working alongside strategic brands to deliver best in class social content.

You will have excellent knowledge of social platforms, a knack for creating and curating great content in line with content calendars and wider marketing plans and be comfortable liaising with internal teams, brands and agencies to respond to briefs.

  • Expected salary - £33,800 - £45,000 (dependent on experience )

  • Contract type - This position is a Secondment until September 2025

  • Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Social team aims for around 2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings. 

  • Location - This role is based at our Pimlico Head Office. This role is based at our London Head Office campus in Pimlico. Please note, any cost incurred as a result of travel to the office is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is no travel allowance for this role. There is also a responsibility to visit shoots when necessary. You will be able to claim travel expenses for these journeys. 

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day content planning, creative briefing, activation and analysis.

  • Deliver organic social retail media activity, working alongside strategic brands and internal teams to create social-first content and deliver media packages.

  • Collaborate with the advocacy, editorial, comms, creative and digital teams to deliver the organic content calendar, whilst aligning with the audience strategy.

  • Continually looks to deliver, improve and understand best in class social execution. Take a test and learn approach to capture early competitive advantage and ensure robust hypotheses deliver insightful results.

  • Supporting in the delivery of insight and execution pre and post campaigns.

  • Responsible for supporting budgeting and forecasting. Actively seeks to increase commercial awareness and is able to use this to provide context and advice on business proposals

  • Good understanding of wider digital marketing and the relationship with social eg SEO, PPC, Email, PR

  • Experience of insight analysis, including using a variety of tools for social listening eg Brand Watch and Social Bakers

Essential skills/experience you’ll need

  • Social campaign planning and activation - experience with reviewing and responding to briefs, developing activation timelines and working across key social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube and TikTok) to distribute content via organic social, in addition to maintaining social channel hygiene.

  • Creative thinking - delivering inspiring and relevant content that is channel-centric, utilising formats and different aesthetic styles to tell engaging stories.

  • Brand tone adoption - understanding the brand tone of voice and values to implement through content and copy. Get under the skin of our target customers to ensure that all communication serves their different need-states.

  • Multiple stakeholder management - strong levels of communication required for presenting to, reporting to and influencing multiple stakeholders.

  • Insight and analytics - experience in reporting, social media analytics and listening. Reviewing numbers and turning insights into actionable plans.

Desirable skills/experience you may have 

  • £100K+ budget ownership

  • Paid social media experience

  • Retail media experience

  • Online experience within retail

  • Marketing/Business related degree or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrable understanding of how social marketing channels work and can influence customer engagement
