Job Purpose

The role of a Senior SME Brokeris really important to us. On a daily basis you will be responsible for handling a panel of motor and non-motor SME customers at renewal as well as making amendments to existing covers. Your focus will be to provide a first class service as well as maintain and build relationships with our panel of Insurers. A key aspect of the role is to be a referral point for other members of the team and provide technical expertise and support where required.

We would love to welcome you to our Leeds office, working hours of 37.5 hrs Monday-Friday.

Your responsibilities day to day will be...

  • Prepare and invite renewals in line with FCA requirements.
  • Act as a referral point for team members to share knowledge and guidance.
  • Support in coaching and training of less experienced colleagues.
  • Develop relationships with customers and Insurers.
  • Handle general enquiries competently and give clear guidance and explanations.
  • Maximise renewal retention.
  • Accurately update and maintain our policy system (Acturis)

What do we expect of you?

  • To be friendly, professional, and heavily client focussed.
  • Have a good all-round knowledge of commercial insurance both motor and non motor (at least 2 years experience required).
  • Have friendly and professional communication attributes including on the telephone and email.
  • The ability to build relationships with customers and Insurers.
  • Ability to prioritise work.
  • To be confident and proactive and can use own initiative.
  • Be a team player.
  • Have a keen eye for detail.
  • Previous knowledge of Acturis would be advantageous
