We are recruiting an experienced Senior Site Manager to play a key role on our HS2 Headhouse project, a major new-build scheme within the HS2 programme. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of significant structural and M&E installation works on a high-profile project that will help shape the future of UK transport.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Site Manager you will have the following:

  • Leading day-to-day site management across major new-build operations on the HS2 Headhouse project.
  • Managing reinforced concrete works, ensuring technical compliance and high-quality delivery.
  • Coordinating the installation of mechanical and electrical systems, working closely with specialist subcontractors.
  • Monitoring progress against programme and ensuring efficient sequencing of works.
  • Ensuring all works meet Balfour Beatty's standards for safety, quality and environmental performance.
  • Overseeing site logistics, permits, daily briefings, and workforce coordination.

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

  • Proven experience delivering major civils or new-build projects as a Senior Site Manager or similar.
  • A strong background in reinforced concrete structures.
  • Experience managing M&E installation packages on large-scale projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and subcontractor management skills.
  • A Strong understanding of construction sequencing, safety management and site coordination.
  • A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
  • Relevant construction qualifications or professional development (SMSTS essential).
