Essential criteria
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Post graduate courses relevant to specialty
- BSc or evidence of study at level 6
- Teaching and assessing course
- ILS
- Safeguarding level 3
Desirable criteria
- MSc or evidence of study at level 7
- ALS
- Level 1 or 2 Trauma qualifications
- Management and leadership course
Experience
Essential criteria
- Extensive post registration experience within specialty
- Experience of team and shift management
- Experience in conducting appraisals
Desirable criteria
- Experience in serivce improvement implementation
- Experience in research and audit
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Application of evidence based practice and knowledge of current clinical and professional issues
- Understanding of Clinical Audit & Clinical Governance
- Understanding of quality assurance
- Ability to create an environment which facilitates learning
- Commitment to self development and development of others
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge and experience of change management theories
