The Role

AMS is proud to deliver Statement of Work (SOW) and Resource Augmentation (RA) Management services to the UK Central Government under the PSR framework, bringing visibility and control to the request and lifecycle of new Services Procurement requirements.

In this exciting new role you will be accountable for managing the SOW and Resource Augmentation team and their output, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service to those Contracting Authorities who are engaging with AMS for SOW and RA Services.

You will develop and lead strategic stakeholder relationships across the Contracting Authorities customer base, understanding their RA landscape to ensure PSR position as their go-to SOW and RA partner and lead a team of experienced Procurement Managers and Support Advisors and will deliver services against budget targets and CCS KPI’s.

Key Accountabilities

What you’ll be doing:

• Leadership of a team of procurement professionals and advisors
• Liaise with commercial and legal colleagues on agreements
• Building trusted relationships with customers
• Supporting PSR Procurement Managers and driving requirements into delivery in a timely manner
• Working with PSR Supplier Management Team in the continuous development of the Services Procurement Supply Base
• Working with the team to deliver continuous improvements to enhance service excellence
• Develop Services Procurement service expertise to optimise PSR service offerings to customers

Skills & Experience

You’ll need to demonstrate:

Must haves

• Experience working in Procurement industry/SOW leadership role
• Experience of public sector procurement regulations and directives
• Demonstration of both operational know how and commercial acumen
• Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with deep understanding of professional services / managed service spend
• Experience in delivering measurable cost savings to customers through SOW solutions
• eSourcing / eProcurement / VMS systems exposure
• Ability to motivate, upskill and manage a remote team
• Ability to recognise root causes, identifying possible solutions, partnering with internal/external team members to determine the best solution
