What we're looking for

Torchbox is looking for a Senior SEO Executive to join our Digital Marketing team. You'll get to support the delivery of SEO strategies for our clients in the non-profit, health, culture, and education sectors. Your work will span SEO auditing, content consultancy, keyword research, reporting and much, much more. This is a great opportunity to learn from our experienced SEO Consultants and build your SEO skills in a supportive environment.

Essential:

• Demonstrable SEO experience, ideally supporting on larger websites with a national search presence.
• Conscientious and proactive, able to manage priorities and collaborate effectively with the digital marketing team.
• Good time management skills.
• Confident with keyword research and optimising content.
• Good understanding of the foundations of SEO, including on-page, links, E-E-A-T and technical SEO. Experience of supporting on a site launch is desirable but not essential. You will be excited and open about developing your SEO skills.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to adapt communication style and tailor messaging to your audience. You can explain complex information in a simple way.
• Analytical skills and experience using Google Analytics, Sheets/Excel, and industry standard SEO tools such as Ahrefs and Screaming Frog (or equivalents). You will have experience in SEO reporting.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about digital marketing - you will know where to look, and who to follow, for the latest SEO trends, developments and best practices.
• Our SEO team is built on continual knowledge sharing and collaboration so you should be proactive in your approach to learning and testing.

Desirable:

• Experience in an agency.
• You don't need experience in the charity sector, but you will have a strong desire to become a sector specialist and be open to adapting your SEO skills to the charity world.

The money bit

* As an employee-owned company our remuneration is made up of two parts, your base salary £30,514 - £40,704 per annum and your tax-free co-owner bonus of £3,600 which is prorated and paid quarterly. There is an additional profit share scheme.

The application process

The closing date for this role is 24th March 2025.

The application process will consist of 2 stages:

• A 30-minute meeting where we will ask you about your previous work experience and skills. You'll also get a chance to learn more about Torchbox and the role.
• A 90-minute interview, this will be a panel interview with 2-3 members of the team. We will delve more into your experience and ask you some competency-based questions. During this stage, we'd also like you to complete a written task and a 5-minute presentation, we will send you details in advance.

Before making an offer of employment, we occasionally invite candidates to a short, informal chemistry call with the SEO team if needed (30 minutes or less). This is an opportunity for you to meet your potential colleagues and ask us any final questions.
