Requirements:
- A minimum of a PhD or post-doc in Synthetic Organic Chemistry.
- Minimum of 2 years prior academic or industrial laboratory experience, including experience and knowledge of a wide range of synthetic chemistry reactions and techniques.
- Ability to effectively contribute to multi-disciplinary scientific teams.
- Excellent communication skills.

Key roles and responsibilities:
- Contributing to the chemistry project by performing experiments and interpreting the results
- Maintaining clear and accurate records of experiments in laboratory notebooks in accordance with company policy
- Working as part of the project team and collaborating with cross-functional projects groups to ensure delivery timelines and API quality
- Demonstrating expertise in core laboratory skills required to support development and scale up of chemical processes
- Complying with all safety and GMP guidelines.

Pharmaron acquired the Hoddesdon campus, consisting of several purpose built scientific and administrative buildings together with a purpose built conference area in February 2017. The research building has more than 5,000m2 of premier R&D space and houses an established Process Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Drug Discovery teams. In addition, a Formulation Development team was also recently established. The Hoddesdon site has state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard facilities for the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Formulation Development (FD) and Process Chemistry (PC).
