As our Senior Schools Library Officer, you'll help shape and deliver excellent library services to schools across Sheffield and beyond. You will lead a small and dedicated team to make sure our traded schools library service continues to thrive.
What you'll do:
- Build positive partnerships with schools and other key people to promote our traded school library service.
- Oversee and promote high-quality, customer-focused library services to schools.
- Select inspiring books (fiction and non-fiction) that brings the curriculum to life and engages children and young people to develop a lifelong love of reading.
- Lead and support a team of supervisors and assistants.
- Manage budgets and resources for the service.
- Help develop new ideas and improve our offer for schools.
About you:
- You're a confident communicator who can build relationships and influence others.
- You're passionate about reading and are confident and knowledgeable about how schools library support school curriculums at all age groups.
- You have experience managing teams and budgets.
- You enjoy working with different people and thrive in a busy environment.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
