The team

Sitting within our Specialist Media Services is our Regional Ofcom reporting and Scheduling team. This team is responsible for Regional Ofcom Forecasting, Reporting, Regional Scheduling and Regional News/Non News queries.

The role

We are currently looking for a Senior Scheduler to join our Regional Scheduling team to support the Regional Scheduling and Regulatory Affairs Manager on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning

  • Entering programme schedules and changes into the scheduling system to ensure sufficient information is available for press day, Ofcom forecasting and compliance.
  • Ensuring the correct programme and version is linked in the planning schedule from the Programme Library.
  • Managing the regional press day cycle ensuring all deadlines are met and issuing amendments.
  • Managing Regional Standby Lists
  • Support PEB scheduling process as required
  • Creating accurate records in regional libraries including production numbers/live flags.

Presentation

  • Assisting Scheduling Manager to ensure all strategies can be met in the planning schedule..
  • Liaison with relevant departments to solve potential issues (Marketing, Media Planning, Delivery, Compliance...)
  • Awareness of regional presentation schedules in Genersys.

Regulatory Affairs

  • Help maintain all regional OFCOM return documents and ensure completed correctly by liaising with regional contacts.
  • Enter accurate information into news check document for regional news tracking

Assisting with the following in Regulatory Reporting & Accessibility:

  • From completed schedules prepare monthly regional internal reports (Dashboard) on actuals/forecasts against all OFCOM PSB targets
  • Assist with the monitoring of regional access services data

  • Assist with entering and maintaining programme library data

Other

  • Cover for Regional Scheduling and Regulatory Affairs Manager.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • Knowledge of scheduling systems
  • Knowledge of OFCOM broadcasting code and regulations
  • Understanding of the ITV regions and areas covered

  • Ability to work remotely from line manager
  • Constant attention to detail and the ability to pre-empt problems
  • Computer literate and keen to use new technology
  • Good communication skills at all levels
