We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Rotational Occupational Therapist to join our Therapies team at The London Clinic, based at our main site in London (W1G 6BW). We are offering a competitive inclusive salary range of £44,252- £54,077 per annum (NHS Band 6 equivalent).

Job Profile:
As a Senior Rotational Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality Occupational Therapy service to range of acute inpatient services, including; oncology, orthopaedics, neurosciences, general surgery and intensive care. You will manage your own caseload efficiently, using methods of prioritisation to achieve timely and safe discharge of patients from Hospital, prevent admissions/readmissions, and enable patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

- Shift Pattern: 37.5 hrs per week, Monday - Friday.
- Job Location: 20 & 22 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW.
- Salary: £44,252- £54,077 per annum.

Key Duties:
- To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in your care as an autonomous practitioner.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with diverse complex presentations.
- Formulate accurate prognoses, recommend best course of intervention, and develop comprehensive discharge plans.
- Plan the effective daily management of a caseload of patients, including responding to urgent referrals and occasionally unpredictable work patterns.
- To be responsible for the evaluation and measurement of own practice through the use and implementation of appropriate outcome measures, audit, patient and referrer surveys and other evidence-based quality improvement initiatives.
- To attend and actively participate in staff meetings and in-service training. Including chairing of departmental meetings as appropriate.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience of working as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, within a broad range of medical and surgical clinical areas. Band 6 experience in core areas desirable.
- Previous experience of quality issues and audit.
- Previous experience participating in on-call working arrangements.
- In depth knowledge of a variety of rehabilitation needs.
- Organisational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrable forward looking and proactive approach, with the ability to use initiative and demonstrate enthusiasm for clinical excellence and development.
